A Dutch airline has employed a sniffer dog to
help them track down the owners of belongings accidentally left on their
planes.
Sherlock, the beagle, has been trained by KLM to smell
lost property discovered on the planes and then bring it back to their owners
at Amsterdam Airport.
"Personally I think he is a real asset to
the company and he can really do something no-one else can," KLM ground
services employee Chantel Kremer said.
In a promotional video released by the airline,
Sherlock is filmed bringing phones, headphones and toys back to passengers who
left them on-board.
Delighted travellers are seen patting, hugging
and taking selfies with Sherlock after it brings back their possessions.
KLM says it is able to return 80 percent of
lost items to its owners.
